It all began with The Famous Neon’s Unplugged, in 2010. “We wanted to create a neighborhood bar, that felt like your own backyard— where the people who lived and worked here, could come by and grab a drink and catch up with friends.” Molly and her partners have since opened three other bars in the Greater Cincinnati area and has the distinction of being named one of the Women of the Year 2015 by CincyChic.com.
Following a decade-long love affair with San Francisco, Molly Wellmann left the City by the Bay to return home to the Queen City. When she got home, she found that there wasn’t much out there in regards to craft cocktails, something she’d long had a passion for. The latest news finds her and her partners in the restaurant business with the newest acquisition of Melt in Northside and its associated catering business Picnic & Pantry in OTR. She is also the author of Handcrafted Cocktails – which uses classic cocktails as a base for creating new and innovative drinks containing simple syrups, bitters, liquors and fresh juices she makes herself.
