It’s that time of year, again; time for the Run for the Roses. The Kentucky Derby takes place on the first Saturday in May every year, and typically draws a crowd of 155,000 people. Tonight, Maggie provides the perfect menu for your own Derby party.

Maggie Green is the author of The Kentucky Fresh Cookbook and Tasting Kentucky.  Green also owns The Green Apron Company that specializes in culinary nutrition and cookbook development.  In addition, Green writes for nutrition books, and provides food, nutrition, cooking, and recipe content for print and digital publications.  She loves the beautiful Bluegrass state with its rich culinary traditions and regional foods.
