"Holiday Sweet Breads"
with Kathy Lehr
(Limited to 12 students)

6:00pm - 9:00pm at Harper's Point

We will begin this class by using a Roasted Red and Black Pepper dough and Pesto dough to form a two-colored Christmas braid. This will become a favorite savory bread to match any holiday dinner. The second dough is Kathy’s basic lemon sweet dough which will be converted into Grand Marnier Pecan Sticky Buns as well as a lovely filled Lemon Almond Braid. This dough can also become a lovely Kolach or Nut Filled Roll. You will be making the savory braid in class. Kathy will demonstrate the sticky buns and the lemon braid which you will be tasting. Toward the end of class, Kathy will demonstrate how to make the savory dough and you will be making the lemon sweet dough to take home. Please bring a medium size bowl and some brown lunch bags.

KATHY LEHR is a bread authority. She was mentored by French Chef Danielle Forrestier, and trained with Jeff Hamelman, James McGuire, and Peter Reinhart. and has been teaching cooking classes for 20 years. Her recently released DVD, “Classic French Bread and More…” is a guide through the art of bread making. Kathy is an expert when it comes to helping people understand the chemistry of bread making, build confidence and gain the ability to bake perfect breads any time!
